This is the shocking moment an LPG cylinder went berserk as a mother fought to drag it outside, minutes before an explosion engulfed the house.

The resident had been cooking in the kitchen when the hose somehow detached from the stove and the resident panicked in India on June 18 at around 3 pm.

CCTV footage shows the middle-aged woman giving up and fleeing the home, leaving the cylinder on the floor with the hose violently whipping and spraying gas across the room.

She returned moments later with a relative, and together they attempted to carry the tank out after shutting the valve.

However, flames erupted from a room behind them, quickly spreading across the house.

They were seen running out, with the mother removing a cloth from her chest that had caught fire.

Both sustained minor burn injuries, while the blaze did not spread further.
