This is the bizarre moment a school of fish swam into a home during floods in Myanmar.

Homeowner Myat Chel Ko was stunned to find dozens of small snakehead fish gliding through ankle-deep water inside her living room following heavy rain in Yangon.

Footage shows the freshwater animals moving in sync across the floor, seemingly searching for a way out on June 21.

Myat said: 'I was surprised to see the fish inside. We didn't touch them and just let them swim away.'

Myanmar and neighbouring Southeast Asian countries are currently entering their annual monsoon season, marked by soaring temperatures followed by intense rainstorms.

However, poor infastructure in the developing countries often leads to severe floods.
