A woman was left in shock after a lifelike interaction with ChatGPT when the AI blessed her sneeze unprompted and even chuckled in response.

Kesi, 29, was cooking in her kitchen and had asked ChatGPT how much cottage cheese she would need to add to her meal to reach 500 calories.

But mid-sentence, Kesi unexpectedly sneezed and to her surprise ChatGPT responded "Bless you."

The moment both spooked and amazed Kesi as she marveled at how advanced the technology had become.

She then let out a quiet nervous laugh and the AI voice chuckled back, surprising her all over again with the eerily lifelike nature of the conversation.

Kesi, a nurse based from North Carolina, said: "I was in total shock. "

"It was an immediate jaw drop. "

"I believe my mouth remained open for the majority of that video."

"I was at first kind of spooked but also amazed by the update being so realistic."

Kesi later posted the interaction on her TikTok account where the video amassed 1.9M views.

The reaction from viewers mirrored Kesi's own with many expressing shock at the lifelike nature of the interaction.

Kesi said: "I have used the video a few times to engage online with the audience that I gained to further show its personality and how I interact with it."

"Frankly, I don't talk to it like a robot but more of a personality in my pocket."

Although Kesi found the independent thinking coming from ChatGPT shocking at first, it has not deterred her from continuing to use the software.

She uses ChatGPT on a daily basis for things like meal prep or holiday planning.

Kesi said: "I find it pretty useful. "

"Especially if you use it in ways to assist you with things, rather than totally think for you. "

"I use it as Google even though Google does have its own AI. "

"I find that having threads of my previous prompts helps me continue where I left off. "

"I intend to use ChatGPT in ways that amplify my current ideas and experiences, whether it's working as my editor when writing a script or asking for very specific food and fun excursions while on vacation. "

"I do try and use app limits and set downtimes so I'm not constantly on my phone."
