Police conduct mock chariot race for upcoming religious Rath chariot ceremony in Puri, Northern India

Police in Puri, India conducted a mock chariot race on Wednesday (June 25 ) in anticipation of an upcoming religious festival, the Gundicha Yatra of Lord Jagannath and his siblings on 27 June .

The mock drill was held at the Reserve Police Line Ground here to deal with law and order situations, crowd management, and stampede-like situations.

The mock drill was conducted by the policemen to be engaged in pulling the three chariots in the presence. On Rath Yatra preparedness, Odisha Director General of Police (DGP) Yogesh Bahadur Khurania says, "All the arrangements are done for the Rath Yatra in Puri.
