Troopers Nearly Hit on Duty, Prompt Move Over Reminder

One incident occurred during a traffic stop and another while investigating a crash. Both near-misses highlight the dangers first responders face daily while serving the public.
Under South Carolina law, drivers must reduce speed and move over when approaching emergency scenes. Troopers urge motorists to stay alert and prioritize the safety of those working on the roadside.
