This is the amusing moment students worked together to carry a wooden bamboo hut, only for one of the posts to snap when a classmate attempted a pull-up.

Footage shows the group lifting the structure when one youngster suddenly grabbed a horizontal beam and hoisted himself up in Dumaguete, the Philippines.

The extra weight caused the pole to break, sending the roof tilting to one side and prompting laughter.

They stopped briefly to check the damage before continuing to move the hut to its designated spot on June 23.

Kim Elaine Tubo said: ‘Our male classmates were tasked with setting up a booth and helped carry the hut.

‘But one of our friends tried to do a pull-up and ended up breaking the post, which made the structure unstable.'

The Criminology students eventually brought the hut to its place and repaired the damage afterwards.
