This is the amusing moment a protective mother cat refused to let her owner touch her newborn kittens.
The owner attempted to pet the seven nursing kittens lying beside their British Shorthair mum on a pet pad in Hebei, China.
Footage shows the woman reaching out her finger toward one of the babies, prompting an immediate reaction from the feline.
The mother cat gently nudged the woman's hand away while maintaining a firm, watchful stare.
It then leaned in for a head pat as consolation.
