US, Los Angeles: Irwindale 2-Acre Grass Fire

Los Angeles, United States - June 26, 2025 06/25/2025 11:37 pm GMT-0700 IRWINDALE, Calif. – Firefighters from the Los Angeles County Fire Department responded to a large grass fire located at North Azusa Canyon Road and East Olive Street, near the Olive Pit Mine in Irwindale. Upon arrival, the first unit on the scene discovered a brush fire spreading up a hillside in medium brush. The crew quickly requested additional engines and support from the county air division for aerial water drops. The fire was successfully contained to an area of 2 to 3 acres, and no injuries to firefighters were reported. The cause of the fire is still unknown. The Irwindale Police Department assisted with traffic control in the area.
