US, Phoenix: Phoenix Cactus Road Drive-By Shooting Investigation A Suspect Vehicle Location Part 2
Phoenix, United States - June 27, 2025 06/27/2025 2:00 am GMT-0700 PHOENIX, Ariz. – Phoenix police officers responded to reports of a shots fired incident where a suspect in a dark colored Dodge fired shots at the driver of a white Mustang. The shooting occurred on Cactus Road near the I-17. The gunfire struck the Mustang, but the driver did not report any injuries. The driver of the Mustang pulled into a business parking lot off 35th Avenue and Cactus Road, awaiting police contact. The suspect fled the area in what was described as a dark colored Dodge. (Details Specific to Part 2 Listed Below) According to information gathered at the scene, responding officers spotted a vehicle matching the suspect's vehicle description, fleeing westbound from the shooting scene at a high rate of speed. Patrol officers, with assistance from the Phoenix Police Tactical Support Bureau and PPD Air Unit, tracked the suspect vehicle through the cities of Phoenix, Glendale, and Peoria. The suspect fled from the vehicle on foot after entering a dead-end portion of Beardsley Road, just west of 112th Avenue in the City of Peoria. The suspect quickly fled into an open desert area. Phoenix police ground units responded to the area and established a search perimeter. At least one person was observed being taken into custody shortly thereafter. Phoenix police are working to determine what led up to the shooting.
