The Israeli blockade has led to severe shortages of food and medicine across the enclave, with medical facilities in northern and southern Gaza reporting critical supply gaps. On June 19, Rantisi Hospital in the north and Nasser Hospital in the south issued a joint warning that infant formula had run out and predicted potential baby deaths within 48 hours if aid did not arrive. UN Secretary-General spokesperson Stéphane Dujarric stated On June 20,that the number of malnourished children in Gaza had reached alarming levels. He noted that in May alone, 5,100 children between six months and five years old were admitted to hospitals due to acute malnutrition. The Israeli army resumed its attacks on the Gaza Strip on March 18 and has since killed 6,008 people and injured 20,591 others, shattering a ceasefire and prisoner exchange agreement that took hold in January. Last November, the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza.
