US, Los Angeles: Historic South-Central Los Angeles LAPD Officer-Involved Shooting
Los Angeles, United States - June 29, 2025 06/28/2025 10:53 pm GMT-0700 HISTORIC SOUTH-CENTRAL LOS ANGELES, Calif. – Officers from the Los Angeles Police Department's Newton gang unit were pursuing two suspects on foot in the area of 42nd Place and Avalon Boulevard. During the pursuit, an officer-involved shooting occurred. One of the suspects suffered at least one gunshot wound and was transported to a hospital by the Los Angeles Fire Department. The condition of the wounded suspect is unknown, and the second suspect fled the scene. No additional information was immediately available.
