US, Los Angeles: Historic South-Central Los Angeles Vehicle Slams Into LAPD Mobile Command Post at OIS Scene With Sound On Tape
Los Angeles, United States - June 29, 2025 06/29/2025 03:00 am GMT-0700 HISTORIC SOUTH-CENTRAL LOS ANGELES, Calif. – A mobile command post was stationed on Avalon Boulevard between 42nd Place and 43rd Street, serving as a hub for LAPD detectives to conduct briefings and interview witnesses, authorities said. A vehicle traveling northbound on Avalon drove through crime scene tape and struck the side of the command post, according to LAPD Detective Meghan Aguilar. Several LAPD personnel were inside the command post at the time. One person was transported to a hospital with complaints of pain. The driver of the vehicle is cooperating with investigators, who are working to determine the cause of the collision.
