FREDERICKSBURG, Va. — The heat didn’t stop the rhythm as Deputy Sheila Jones and Lt. Tabatha Merrell of the Fredericksburg Sheriff’s Office joined in an impromptu dance session during Picnic in the Park on June 24.

With temperatures soaring above 90 degrees, the two deputies were seen smiling and two-stepping with community members in a display of unity, fun and community spirit.

The Fredericksburg Sheriff’s Office said the officers “understood the assignment,” bringing both safety and good vibes to the public gathering.
