The fires, which broke out on Sunday, June 29, in the Doganbey neighborhood of Seferihisar and the Kuyucak neighborhood of Menderes, continued to burn overnight. On Monday, firefighting helicopters and planes joined the effort, bolstering ground operations. A total of four planes, 14 helicopters, and numerous ground crews have been deployed to combat the fires. In Kuyucak, strong winds on Sunday hampered aerial intervention, causing significant damage to residential areas and forcing the evacuation of several homes.
