US, Los Angeles: Riverside Fire Burning Over 60 Acres Prompts Evacuation Order
Los Angeles, United States - June 29, 2025 06/29/2025 02:00 am GMT-0700 RIVERSIDE, Calif. – County firefighters worked to contain a rapidly growing brush fire that burned at least 63 acres Sunday afternoon in Riverside. The fire was reported around 2 p.m. in the area west of Tyler Street and Mandalay Court, according to CalFire Riverside. The fourth-alarm fire prompted an immediate evacuation order for the vicinity of Gaylord Street, Eureka Drive, and Mandalay Court due to threats to nearby structures and concerns for the safety of residents. In response to the escalating situation, two air tankers and one air attack team were requested to assist with firefighting efforts. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation and has not been immediately determined.
