US, Los Angeles: Westlake Commercial Fire
Los Angeles, United States - July 01, 2025 07/01/2025 01:25 am GMT-0700 WESTLAKE, LOS ANGELES, Calif. – The Los Angeles Fire Department responded to a structure fire at a two-story commercial building in the Westlake neighborhood early Tuesday morning. Firefighters were dispatched to the scene in the 1300 block of West 6th Street, near the intersection of West 6th Street and Witmer Street. Upon arrival, crews observed heavy fire showing from the building, which had a history of previous burns. They quickly adopted a defensive mode to combat the flames. Firefighters set up ladder pipes to assist in the firefighting efforts. Additionally, teams were tasked with establishing and maintaining collapse zones to ensure the safety of personnel and the public.
