Storyline: The Palestinian death toll in the war-torn Gaza Strip has risen to 56,647, with 134,105 others injured since the latest round of the conflict broke out on October 7, 2023, Gaza's health authorities said on Tuesday. In the past 24 hours alone, Israeli attacks killed 116 Palestinians and injured 463, according to the health authorities. At least 6,315 Palestinians have been killed and 22,064 others injured since Israel resumed its military operations in the enclave on March 18 following a brief ceasefire. The health authorities said that due to Israel's fuel rationing policy for hospitals in the Gaza Strip, major hospitals in the region are suffering from severe and ongoing fuel shortages. The health authorities once again called on international organizations and relevant parties to intervene to provide necessary medical supplies to Gaza and protect the local health system from collapse. Al-Shifa Hospital, the largest medical facility in the Gaza Strip, announced that it will suspend dialysis services and limit intensive care services to a few hours due to the fuel shortage, warning that the continued lack of energy supply puts all patients at risk. The Palestinian Journalists Syndicate issued a statement on Tuesday saying that Israel's military operations in the Gaza Strip have killed 228 Palestinian media workers since the latest round of the conflict broke out in October 2023.
