Julie Anne Bilaro and her relatives were blessing the food when she saw Choco, their Dachshund pooch, joining the meal prayer during a birthday celebration in Manila, the Philippines.

Footage shows the excitable pup sitting upright on its hind legs with its front limbs raised on June 28.

He can be seen staying still while panting as a woman prays aloud, standing close to him.

Julie said: ‘Like every simple birthday celebration, we started with a prayer. While praying, one of us noticed that Choco also stood up like everyone else and filmed that moment.'

Dachshunds are bond closely with their families and enjoy being included in household activities.
