Los Angeles, United States - July 03, 2025 07/02/2025 09:23 pm GMT-0700 AZUSA, Calif. – Emergency responders from the California Highway Patrol, the Azusa Police Department, the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, and the Los Angeles County Fire Department were dispatched to a single-vehicle crash on Highway 39, also known as Angeles Crest Highway in Azusa. A helicopter from the Los Angeles County Fire Department was sent to assist with the rescue operation. Upon arriving at the scene, first responders located the vehicle 150 to 200 feet down the hill and discovered one person deceased inside. The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department will be leading the investigation into the fatal crash. Family members of the victim arrived at the scene, though it is currently unclear whether alcohol or drugs were involved in the incident.
