US, Bakersfield: Bakersfield Officer Involved Crash CHP Pursues Fleeing Vehicle Suspect at Large
Bakersfield, United States - July 03, 2025 07/03/2025 12:19 am GMT-0700 BAKERSFIELD, Calif. – California Highway Patrol officers pursued a vehicle on Interstate 5 that was fleeing at speeds exceeding 130 mph. The vehicle eventually turned eastbound onto Highway 223 and collided with two CHP patrol vehicles. The driver fled the scene on foot, while a passenger was taken into custody at the scene. The injuries reported appear to be minor. The suspect remains at large. Deputies from the Kern County Sheriff’s Office closed both eastbound and westbound lanes of Highway 223, just west of Gosford Road, as the situation continues to develop.
