This is the amusing moment a couple treated their pet dog to an extravagant cartoon-themed birthday party.

Rose Marie Goho and her boyfriend, Edward Bulahan, organised a Disney Stitch celebration for their Shih Tzu in Manila, the Philippines.

Footage shows Gon, their three-year-old pooch, fashioned in a blue sweater and a matching blue crown, with blue-coloured fur on its paws, on June 27.

Edward can be seen carrying the canine as they lean him close to the cake to 'blow' the candles while the Happy Birthday song blasts in the background.

Different dishes were laid on the table with blue and Stitch balloons in the backdrop coordinating with the tablecloth.

The pair also wore Stitch shirts to complete the theme and pose for photos with their beloved pet.

Rose said: 'We were happy to celebrate Gon's barkday every year. We invited a couple of friends and their pet dogs as well.'
