Storyline: The Palestinian death toll in the Gaza Strip has risen to 57,268, with 135,625 others injured, since the conflict between Hamas and Israel erupted on October 7, 2023, according to Gaza's health authorities on Friday. The death toll since March 18 this year has reached 6,710, while the number of injured stands at 23,584. In the past 24 hours, 138 people have been killed, including 62 who died while attempting to access humanitarian aid. The authorities also reported that at least 41 Palestinians have been killed in Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip since dawn on Friday. The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) and Israel's domestic security agency, Shin Bet, announced on Friday that the IDF has gained operational control of more than 65 percent of the Gaza Strip, with over 100 armed personnel killed in the past week.
