VARIOUS OF PROTESTERS LISTENING SPOKESPERSON PAPENDRECHT, NETHERLANDS - JULY 5: A protest was held on Saturday (July 5) in Papendrecht city of Netherlands against GKN Fokker's export of parts for Israel's F-35 fighter jets. Carrying Palestinian flags and banners, the demonstrators marched from Markt Square to the GKN Fokker factory and GKN Aerospace headquarters. During the march, they carried banners reading “We are all Palestinians, break all ties with the apartheid state of Israel” and chanted slogans saying “Fokker stop supporting genocide, go to hell”, “Shame on you Fokker, your hands are bloody”, “Free Palestine” and “Death to the Israeli army”. The group’s statement reminded that a Dutch court ruled last year to halt the export of F-35 parts to Israel on the grounds that it was violating international humanitarian law in Gaza. The statement stressed that despite this decision, the GKN Fokker factory continued to send F-35 parts to Israel through indirect means, emphasizing that the company contributed to the genocide committed by Israel in Gaza and was an accomplice to the crime. Despite international calls for a ceasefire, the Israeli army has pursued a genocidal war on Gaza, killing more than 57,300 Palestinians, most of them women and children, since October 2023. Last November, the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza. Israel also faces a genocide case at the International Court of Justice for its war on the enclave.
