Woman swarmed by bees after collecting honey for the first time
A woman tried to collect honey from her dad's backyard beehives for the first time and accidentally triggered bee mayhem.
Rachael Glennon, 26, had never harvested honey before but decided to give it a try while visiting home in Westmeath, Ireland, on July 1.
Encouraged by her brother John Glennon, 17, who claimed it was "very easy", Rachael suited up and approached the hives, unaware he had started filming."
Moments later, things went sideways and the bees suddenly turned aggressive.
Rachael said: "We think it was my perfume"
"The suit completely failed. "
"I was being stung through the gloves, which has never happened to anyone in the family before."
Panicked and screaming, Rachael ran toward her dad Matthew, accidentally bringing a swarm of angry bees with her.
A funny video shows the chaos unfold, with Rachael and her dad running around the yard, dodging bees and trying to avoid stings.
Rachael said: "Out of panic I ran to them bringing the bees with me it. "
"It was about 20 mins of sheer running around panicking. "
"We got a few stings but nothing serious. "
"Dad was more so having a freak attack because he's allergic to everything but he was also fine."
Later, the family sat down together and cried with laughter watching the footage.
