CIVILIANS CARRYING DEAD BODYKHAN YOUNIS, PALESTINE - JULY 6, 2025: Funerals were held for 16 Palestinians, including three children, who were killed in an Israeli attack targeting tents sheltering displaced people in southern Gaza on Sunday, July 6. The bodies were brought to Nasser Hospital and later laid to rest following a funeral prayer held in the hospital courtyard. At least 41 Palestinians, including children, were killed on Sunday in a series of Israeli airstrikes across the Gaza Strip, according to medical sources and local reports. Despite international calls for a ceasefire, the Israeli army has pursued a genocidal war on Gaza, killing more than 57,300 Palestinians, most of them women and children, since October 2023. Last November, the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza. Israel also faces a genocide case at the International Court of Justice for its war on the enclave.
