MARBLE FALLS, Texas — Members of the El Paso Fire Department Water Rescue Team, deployed with Texas Task Force 1, rescued two individuals clinging to a tree in fast-moving floodwaters amid widespread flooding across Central Texas.

The dramatic rescue, captured on video and shared by Battalion Chief Brandon Kovach, took place in Marble Falls. Flooding in the area has caused extensive damage and prompted emergency response teams from across the state to assist with evacuations and life-saving operations.

El Paso firefighters navigated dangerous conditions to reach the victims and safely bring them to dry land. The effort was part of a coordinated response involving multiple agencies, including local and state partners.

“Our hearts go out to all of the communities in Central Texas affected by this devastating flooding,” the department stated. “We are honored to support the response efforts and hope to make a meaningful impact.”
