Bakersfield, United States - July 05, 2025 07/05/2025 04:55 am GMT-0700 BAKERSFIELD, Calif. – One person is dead and two people are hospitalized after a stabbing occurred early Saturday morning in the 6400 block of Springtime Court, according to initial reports. Bakersfield police officers responded around 4:55 a.m. to reports of a stabbing. Upon arrival, they located three victims injured, one of whom was the alleged suspect, who continued to harm himself. According to the Bakersfield PD, officers used non-lethal force to take the suspect into custody and immediately attended to the injured victims and the suspect. All three were taken to local hospitals, where one victim later succumbed to their injuries, and the second victim is in stable condition, reported the Bakersfield PD. The suspect is listed in critical condition at a local area hospital. Hours later, KNN video captured crime scene tape across the cul-de-sac, crime scene investigators on site, and evidence markers positioned near the end of the block. Bakersfield Police are continuing to investigate.
