This is the shocking moment a shopkeeper narrowly escaped injury when a car crashed into her roadside drinks stall.

Narumon Tongthip was sitting inside Juju's store as she waited for customers when the speeding Toyota Yaris smashed into the storefront in Phuket, southern Thailand.

CCTV footage shows Narumon frantically standing up from her chair upon spotting the out-of-control black vehicle near the Phuket Rajabhat University on July 6.

She can be seen screaming and backing away as the car rammed into the stand.

Miraculously, the vehicle veered off from where she was standing, sparing her from being struck.

Dozens of bottles and products on the counter tumbled to the ground upon impact, leaving the stall badly damaged.

Narumon said: 'I was just sitting inside the booth when I heard the sound of car brakes on the road. I looked around and saw the car about to plunge into a water tank, but the driver managed to dodge it. However, he accelerated straight into my place instead.

'It was terrifying. I was shaking and crying after what happened. Fortunately, I wasn't seriously injured, but I suffered from backache and leg pain, but I am okay now.'

The woman reportedly called an ambulance and police before contacting her insurance company.
