UK man campaigning to fix potholes eats Weetabix out of one

Ben Thornbury from Somerford Keynes, Gloucestershire, is running a campaign attempting to get pothole fixed in his local area.

As part of the campaign he has released a video of himself eating Weetabix, a cereal, out of a pothole.

He told Newsflare: "I headed to a road in Somerford Keynes, Gloucestershire, and filled one of the potholes with Weetabix in an effort to draw attention to the poor condition of the roads and prompt action from the council. Numerous cyclists passed by and showed their support, applauding the creative way of raising awareness. After all, not many people can say they've had Weetabix for breakfast—straight from a pothole!

"This stunt is part of a broader campaign, following earlier efforts like the Crazy Pothole Golf and Pothole Fishing events along Abbey Row. The Weetabix idea was inspired by a Scottish council worker who famously filled a pothole with Coco Pops in a similar protest."
