A dramatic time-lapse video captured by Robert Ivey on Friday shows how quickly floodwaters rose along the Llano River in Kingsland, Texas. The video, recorded by a 24/7 security camera and later sped up, vividly illustrates the river surging inland and swelling within minutes following torrential rainfall. Kingsland, located about 95 miles northeast of Camp Mystic, was among the communities severely impacted by the catastrophic floods that struck central Texas on July 4, 2025. At least 24 people were confirmed dead, and 20 campers from Camp Mystic remain unaccounted for, as emergency crews continue their search and rescue efforts. The footage highlights the life-threatening speed and intensity of the flash floods that left residents with little time to react. Authorities are urging the public to stay alert as the region faces the risk of further rainfall in the coming days.
