This is the terrifying moment a wild bear attacked a restaurant in search of food.

A group of holidaymakers and park staff gathered around a food stall to drive the ravenous bruin away at Pha Trom Jai in Khao Yai National Park, Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand.

Footage shows the animal attempting to climb the grilled barricade after catching the scent of dishes cooking in the kitchen.

Startled tourists clung to the walls while a cook struck the bear with a wok as it reached over the concrete barrier.

This prompted the animal to run away into the forest.

A park officer said: 'This wasn't the first time the bear had appeared. It often shows up in the area looking for food and has never tried to harm anyone—it's just hungry.'
