CARS PASSING FROM ROAD NEAR BURNING FORESTPRISHTINA/SKOPJE - JULY 07: The largest border crossing between North Macedonia and Kosovo, Blace-Elez Khan, was temporarily closed to crossings due to a fire in the forest on the North Macedonian side of the border on Monday. Fire broke out near the Stankovec Tunnel in North Macedonia, according to a written statement from the Kosovo National Border Management Center. North Macedonian police stopped vehicle traffic in the area and directed drivers to use alternative routes. Border crossing was temporarily closed in both directions after the fire that started yesterday in the forest area in Blace village, about 40 minutes from the capital Skopje, spread due to wind and high temperatures it was announced with a written statement made by the Ministry of Interior of North Macedonia. Ministry of Interior took measures to extinguish the fire in coordination with other authorized institutions, the statement read.
