US: Campers Rescued By Helicopter From Roof Of Trailer In Texas Floods
Kerrville, United States - July 05, 2025 On July 5th, Coast Guard aircrews carried out urgent rescue operations in response to flash flooding near Kerrville. Twelve flights were launched into the affected region. During the missions, 15 campers were airlifted from Camp Mystic in Hunt, Texas, after being stranded by floodwaters. One group of campers was rescued directly from the roof of a trailer by helicopter. A Coast Guard rescue swimmer stayed behind to provide medical aid and helped evacuate 230 victims using air assets from assisting agencies.
