This is the amusing moment a group of foreign students enjoyed playing a traditional Filipino pinata-style game.

Students from Japan and Turkey participated the rally parlour game along with their teachers during a school event in Cebu, the Philippines.

Footage captured by Maregin Pantujan shows two teams racing to hit a hanging clay pot while blindfolded and holding a pole on June 27.

Their partners can be seen standing beside them, giving directions as they navigate the area with their eyes covered.

Moments later, one participant was guided into position and instructed to swing the white rod overhead and strike the pot.

The Japanese youngster successfully hit the container, sending confetti and candies spilling onto the ground.

The lively games drew excited screams from onlookers.

The woman cheered at the surprised man as a group of students rushed forward to collect the treats and coins.

Maregin said: 'Students and teachers were actively engaged in every game, although some mechanics of the games were changed for the safety of everyone, and the main purpose was to enjoy and let the students experience.'

Pukpok Palayok is a traditional Filipino game similar to the pinata. It is believed to have Spanish colonial influences, resembling the Mexican piñata tradition brought by missionaries.

The game is commonly played during fiestas, town celebrations, birthdays, and school events. It also symbolizes sharing blessings, as everyone joins in collecting the treats when the pot breaks.
