A tourist had instant regret choosing the middle seat on an inflatable ride when he was thrown off and dumped into the sea.

Footage shows the tourist seated on the raised section of the floater during a bumpy ride in West Java, Indonesia.

Each time the raft struck a wave, he bounced upward until he finally lost balance and flew off within seconds.

As he fell, he collided with two nearby riders who tumbled into the ocean with him.

His friend Tiana Rahmasari said: ‘We were enjoying the ride. One seat was missing, so he picked the middle to join. But the force was too strong, and he pulled two others down.'

The remaining eight held on and circled back to retrieve the trio.

Everyone was safe, and the group continued the fun on June 23.
