On June 24, due to continuous heavy rainfall, a sudden mudslide occurred in Longtang Village, Pingyong Town, Rongjiang County, Guizhou Province. Rocks and debris rapidly cascaded down the slope and rushed toward the road, prompting nearby villagers to flee in panic.

Local authorities responded that villagers had been evacuated in advance, and no casualties were reported.

From June 18 to 24, Rongjiang County experienced continuous heavy rainfall, with the highest cumulative precipitation exceeding 600 millimetres and the maximum hourly rainfall reaching 64 millimetres. The area where Longtang Village is located received over 300 millimetres of rain, leading to saturated soil and reduced slope stability.
