Player tossed to the ground while trying giant Squid Game replica
This is the shocking moment a player was tossed to the ground while trying a giant Squid Game replica.
Seven holidaymakers were leaping together when one of them lost her footing and was tripped by the spinning rope in Bangkok, Thailand.
Footage captured by Suphannapa Viseshakul shows the woman in a pink dress failed to hop in time on July 6.
She can be seen bending over as she was dragged by the pole and eventually tumbled off the platform.
Two guards in red boiler suits sprinted toward the tourist to prevent her from being lifted up.
However, the staff were not able to act in time, causing her to plunge to the ground as spectators screamed in shock.
The eliminated participant was then escorted out of the game. She then picked up her bag and shoes from the platform before walking away, visibly dismayed.
Suphannapa said: 'The woman was not injured from what happened, and the guards made sure she was okay afterwards.'
On June 29, a youngster was knocked over during the challenge.
The boy did not sustain any injuries from the mishap, but onlookers were shocked by the game, which is modelled on the same gruesome device from Netflix series which sends competitors plunging to their demise.
Visitors can play the real-life version of the series' iconic skipping rope game, with the giant dolls swinging the rope, from June 28 to July 6.
However, unlike the Netflix series, none of the participants plunge to their deaths to have their organs harvested.
Squid Game Season 3 premiered globally on Netflix on June 27. The final season continues the intense storyline, with protagonist Seong Gi-hun returning to the deadly games after the loss of his friend Jung-bae.
The South Korean Netflix series, originally released in 2021, depicts a deadly competition where contestants play children's games for a large cash prize.
Creator Hwang Dong-hyuk drew inspiration from his own economic struggles, as well as issues of class disparity and capitalism in South Korea.
The show became Netflix's most-watched series and topped charts in 94 countries.
