This is the terrifying moment bulls charged through the streets on the third day of the Pamplona festival in Spain.

Footage shows a crowd of locals dressed in white outfits and red scarves dashing away as the group of beasts emerged, chasing them down the road on July 8.

The festival officially began at noon on Sunday and will continue until midnight on July 14, opening with a spectacular fireworks display.

Locals said the highlight of the event is the daily running of the bulls, which takes place every morning at 8 am.

The San Fermin Festival is a traditional celebration held annually in Pamplona, Spain. It honours Saint Fermin, the city's patron saint, and is well-known worldwide for the adrenaline-fuelled 'encierro' or bull runs through the streets, along with parades, music, and cultural events.
