Metal fans were caught off guard when actor Jason Momoa leapt into the mosh pit during Pantera’s set at Ozzy Osbourne’s farewell show on July 5.

After introducing Pantera on stage at Villa Park, Momoa urged the audience to “make some space” before diving over the barricade as the band launched into their song “Cowboys from Hell.”

Carlos Javier Mendes, 38, from Barton Mills, Suffolk, who was eight rows back, captured the electrifying moment on video. Originally from Puerto Rico, Carlos called it the best concert experience he has ever had.

“He came off stage, gave Phil Anselmo a fist bump, and then just jumped into the pit,” Carlos recalled.

The crowd erupted with excitement as Momoa sang along, headbanged, and moshed alongside them. Fans were thrilled to see a Hollywood star fully immersed in the metal scene.

For Carlos, the surprise added a memorable highlight to an already historic night.
