GAZA, PALESTINE - JULY 11, 2025: At least six Palestinians, including children, were killed on Friday, July 11, in an Israeli airstrike targeting a UN-run school sheltering displaced civilians in the northern Gaza town of Jabalia. Health sources at Al-Shifa Hospital told Anadolu that the bodies of six victims were brought to the facility following the strike on Halima al-Sa’diyya School. Many others, including women and children, were injured and transported to the hospital for treatment. Eyewitnesses reported that thousands of displaced civilians were taking shelter in the school when the attack occurred, resulting in numerous casualties and injuries. Rejecting international calls for a ceasefire, the Israeli army has pursued a genocidal war on the Gaza Strip since Oct. 7, 2023, killing nearly 57,800 Palestinians so far, most of them women and children. The relentless bombardment has destroyed the enclave and led to food shortages and spread of disease. Last November, the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza.
