On July 9, 2025, in Hawaii, USA, @Ifishdestin shared a video of lava fountains in Kilauea. In the video, Kilauea reaches its 28th Halemaʻumaʻu eruption episode, with lava fountains shooting dramatically into the sky—starting around 150 feet before dawn and surging to nearly 1,200 feet by mid-morning. After nine continuous hours of activity, the eruption abruptly ends. People can be seen from a distance capturing photos and videos, as winds blow volcanic gases, ash, tephra, and Pele’s hair to the west and southwest of the summit.
