What started as a peaceful float trip at Brookdale Farms on the Meramec River quickly turned into a comedy of splashes when Nat Vacca’s daughters spotted a branch in the water and went into full panic mode, despite being in just three feet of water and wearing life jackets.

The girls, who were playing near the raft, suddenly saw the stick and feared for their lives, scrambling to climb back aboard. But as anyone who’s tried knows, getting back into a raft from the water is no easy feat—cue the flailing arms, slippery sides, and laughter from the adults.
