PRATTVILLE, Ala. — The Autauga County Sheriff’s Office received a heartwarming visit Tuesday morning from a very special guest — 5-year-old Amara Bleckley and her parents.

Amara, who lives with Periventricular Leukomalacia and cerebral palsy, handcrafts decorated pens to help raise money for her care and upcoming surgery. She came to the sheriff’s office to personally deliver one of her creations to Sheriff Mark Harrell. In return, Sheriff Harrell presented Amara with a goody bag and pinned her with an honorary badge.

Amara also showcased her collection of handmade pens, badge holders and keychains, which were available for employees to purchase. During her visit, she was greeted by Alabama State Trooper Deason, who happened to stop by and gave her stickers and another badge. The department called Amara a “special person with a true gift of design.”
