K Bop! Korean tourists have mass brawl at hot pot at restaurant in Thailand
This is the chaotic moment Korean tourists had a mass brawl at a hot pot restaurant in Thailand.
The holidaymakers were seated at the same table when a row broke out among them at the open-air restaurant in 'Sin City' Pattaya on Friday.
Shocking footage shows the group shouting, punching, and hurling kitchenware, with little regard for others at the venue.
Frantic diners screamed and moved away as security guards stepped in to control the rampaging tourists.
Police Lieutenant Panasarn Krongsit, deputy chief of the Pattaya City Police Station, said four individuals were arrested and hauled to the station for questioning.
He added: 'All four individuals were charged with fighting in public. They later reached a mutual agreement and agreed to pay for the damages before being fined and released.'
Bizarrely, coyote dancers at the restaurant continued gyrating on tabletops, even as the scrap continued. Police later arrived to secure the area.
The Koreans were reportedly made to pay 100,000 baht (around 3,000 USD) for damage to the property.
Officials said the cause of the fight stemmed from a personal argument between the lads.
A restaurant employee said: 'They were sitting quietly at first, then suddenly they were standing up, throwing punches and smashing everything.
'They had ordered a lot of drinks, so they were definitely under the influence of alcohol.'
Thailand has been marred by over-tourism as the Thai government implements a visa-free scheme to boost revenue following the barren pandemic years.
Former fishing village Pattaya became popular with American troops on 'rest and relaxation' breaks in the 1950s and 1960s when the US military had bases in Thailand while fighting Communism in Vietnam.
Government chiefs have attempted to clean up the city but regular violence, depravity, and claims of corruption continue to blight its reputation.
