US, Los Angeles: Pomona Brush Fire on 10 Freeway Possible Arson
Los Angeles, United States - July 11, 2025 07/11/2025 04:36 am GMT-0700 POMONA, Calif. – Multiple 911 calls reported a brush fire on the hillside along the southbound 57 Freeway near the westbound 10 Freeway transition road in Pomona. Los Angeles County Fire Department and California Highway Patrol personnel responded to the scene and found a 50-foot by 50-foot spot burning in the hillside just north of the 10 Freeway. Firefighters and an arson investigator have detained one male suspect. It is unclear at this time whether he started the fire. A vehicle was parked on the right shoulder of the transition road where the fire ignited. As a result of the incident, the southbound 57 Freeway to the westbound 10 Freeway was closed.
