Moment wheelchair user clings to moving police van in ‘Back to the Future’ stunt
A wheelchair user has left onlookers stunned after hitching a ride on the back of a police van.
Video shows a person in a wheelchair being pulled along by a moving police van for at least 200ft before letting go and appearing to give a casual wave to the driver.
The shocking scene was recorded on Bark Street, in Bolton, Greater Manchester, on Monday, July 7.
Stunned onlooker Zohib Hussain, 28, was on his break at work when he saw the wheelchair user grabbing the back of the police van from his office window.
Zohib said: "I was on my break and juts looking out the office window, and I saw this guy in the wheelchair hang on to the police van."
"My initial thought was it was funny, but it was also dangerous at the same time, as a car from the other side could have turned in and hit him."
On TikTok, commenters were left shocked.
User dec0y wrote: "Back to the Future vibes."
While user Tomo joked: "That's one way of getting away with MOT, tax and insurance."
And user Mr H said: "Wait for the blue lights come on and he's going like 60mph."
Greater Manchester Police was contacted for comment.
