Los Angeles, United States - July 13, 2025 07/12/2025 05:07 pm GMT-0700 PORTER RANCH, LOS ANGELES, Calif. – The Los Angeles Fire Department responded to a water main break at the intersection of Vanalden and Olympia streets. Firefighters arrived to find a significant rupture that was spewing rocks and water down the street. The Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (LADWP) was requested to assist. Upon arrival, LADWP crews discovered that the street had developed a large hole and was beginning to buckle. Crews were able to shut off the water supply to the affected area, but the cause of the break remains unknown. Neighbors expressed frustration, as they will likely be without water for the next several days.
