US, Phoenix: Glendale 1st Alarm Apartment Fire

Phoenix, United States - July 13, 2025 07/13/2025 01:40 am GMT-0700 GLENDALE, Ariz. – On Sunday, just before 2 a.m., the Glendale Fire Department and police officers responded to reports of an apartment fire near the 5200 block of West Northern Avenue. When fire crews arrived on the scene, they located heavy flames coming from an apartment unit. The call was balanced to a first alarm fire, prompting a response from the Phoenix, Peoria, and Glendale Fire Departments to the scene. Fire crews worked quickly to deploy hand lines for an interior attack while ladder crews worked on roof ventilation. The Glendale Police Department assisted firefighters in evacuating the neighboring units. Firefighters were able to quickly gain control of the fire, stopping the flames from spreading to the entire apartment building. No injuries were reported at the time. It’s unknown how many people were displaced. Fire investigators were on scene to locate the origin of the fire.
