Emergency and Disaster Management Minister Raid Salih said firefighters have stopped the flames from spreading further—describing it as the most significant progress in ten days. He noted that teams are now focused on extinguishing remaining hotspots and carrying out cooling operations in stabilized areas. Salih credited the development to strong coordination, public support, and assistance from firefighting units sent by Türkiye, Jordan, Lebanon, Iraq, and Qatar.
