Daniel said, “Check out the massive water surge from the Lampasas River under 195.” The water level was described by one observer as being just 5 to 10 inches from the underside of the bridge, illustrating the dangerous strength and volume of the floodwaters. The storm that swept through Texas brought intense rainfall, which contributed to the river’s sudden and forceful rise.
